Zavoloka is the
project of Katerina Zavoloka from Kiev (Ukraine). She is one of the
most talented and prolific ukrainian musicians ever: she actively plays
live at home and European festivals, she has released several CDs
issued by international labels. Zavoloka willingly collaborates with
other electronic musicians and takes part in multimedia projects
connected not only to music, but also plastic and visual arts. This
is a recording of her solo-performance at the REPLICA festival. Broken
and turned inside out beat, deep electronic impulses and waves of
texturized sketches are tied up into a unique unsteady structure.
Zavoloka's music neither strives for our admiration nor wants to
frighten us off - rather it resembles a person, who wants to share
something important with us. Recorded by Denis Kolokol in Oct 2006
at the REPLICA festival, Almaty (Kazakhstan). Edited and mixed by
Zavoloka during winter 2007. |
Free improvised music by two groups are introduced today: 1) David Stackenäs (guitar) + Martin Küchen(sax) from Sweden and 2) Elena Kakaliagou (horn) + Saara Rautio (harp) + Solmund Nystabakk (guitar), an international group from Greece, Finland and Norway respectively.
The first one is the recording I made at the POTLACH Club the last May 2, 2009 and the second one is the studio recording on May 6, 2009. Let’s taste fresh Spring fragrance and fight with dark winter days! |

 "Following last week's entry about Kapotte Muziek in Stockholm, we
continue with us still being in Stockholm for the rest of the week,
until December 4th, when we did a workshop at Fylkingen. The week in
between we spend time recording new music as Goem in an improvised work
set up in Fylkingen's storage room and at studio 4 of the EMS studios
(basically 'downstairs' of Fylkingen) where they have a Bucla synth.

"Live In Vienna 2009" is the recording of a live show Konstruktivists
played in Vienna on October 9th 2009, invited by Klanggalerie and
Bleak, together with Nocturnal Emissions.
This show also marked a reunion for Glenn Wallis and Mark Crumby,
as the latter has been living in Vienna for nearly a decade and had
therefore left Konstruktivists earlier.
